Soccer – Girls Varsity vs School of the Holy Child – Away

Varsity Girls Soccer

Girls’ varsity soccer opened its season on the road against School of the Holy Child on Saturday, September 15th.

KO entered the match down a few players due to injuries and that enabled several new faces to get some quality minutes at the varsity level. The game was pretty evenly matched but two errors off of set pieces proved to be one too many as KO lost 2-3. There were some individual strong efforts for the wyverns on the the day. Jamie Scarpantonio ‘20 found the back of the net twice! Captains Cami Berckemeyer ‘19 and Nicole Genga ‘19 were relentless on the defensive end and made it possible for Megan Murphy ‘22 to have a stellar day in the back with them.
