Varsity Softball

We had a tough time this game on the defensive side of things, but we know what we have to work on to turn the next game around.

We’ll work on anticipating what we need to do when the original play doesn’t go exactly as planned. Offensively, the team showed promise. Kyra Dunnirvine ’23 rocketed a line drive to left center in the 1st inning, earning a double to eventually score off of a strategic bunt from Mackenzie Caruso ’22 and a grounder from Lexi Vail ’22. Olivia Pear ’21 showed off her slap hitting skills once again by beating the throw to first after a slapped grounder. It’s this kind of intentional hitting that we hope to bring into the next set of games over the weekend.
