Senior Day vs Loomis Chaffee School – Home

V Softball

Kingswood Oxford waltzed into their matchup on Monday with nine straight wins… but they left with ten and a Founders League Championship walking away with a 4-1 victory over the Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans. This was a battle of #1 and #2 and 4 seems to be a good number for Kingswood Oxford as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Alexis Nisyrios ’27 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she was dominant giving up one hit and racked up eight Ks, including her 250th of her HS career.

At the plate, Kingswood Oxford let Reminisce Rosado ’28 and Olivia Raccio ’28 loose on the outfield. Rosado ’28 went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two doubles, while Raccio ’28 scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Lily Evans ’29 was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Senior Sophia Radmanovich ’24 broke out of a slump and junior Captain Olivia Gallup ’25 checked in with a smoking single to help keep a rally going. The energy was wild in West Hartford and the fan packed in to see the Wyverns capture a 2nd consecutive Founders title.

Kingswood Oxford pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Kingswood Oxford will head out on the road to take on Suffield Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the season finale before heading to Western New England’s this weekend.
