V Girls Squash

The KO Girls Varsity Squash team had a difficult loss against Choate, one of the team’s strongest opponents. In the no. 8 position, Avery Hersh ‘24 put together excellent points against hard serving from the opponent, and used her lofty forehand shots to take initiative in the points. In the no. 5 position, Lia Prahl ‘26 applied consistent pressure to her match with sweeping forehand cross-court drives into the back corner. In the no. 1 and 2 matches, Ava Marseglia ‘26 and Valerie Perkins ‘29 showed wonderful progress against skilled opponents, putting smart gameplans into play and using variety to force their opponent’s to cover all areas of the court. Captain Ilianna Brett ‘24 had excellent exchanges of straight drives on both sides of the court, and made sure that she chased down every shot with gusto. It was a tough match overall, but KOSQ had a strong showing regardless!
