On February 2nd, KO traveled over an hour and a half to get to the Hale YMCA.

The swimmers only had about 5 minutes to warm up for the meet but they showed their flexibility and gave it their all. There were many fast swims and a lot of improvement from the first meet. Many of the swimmers swam in their first KO relay or tried a new event. The relay of Abbie Wildstein’26, Norah Pond’26, Samit Virmani’26, and Jackson Poulin’26 swam a great race coming in second. Abbie Wildstein’26 came in first in the 50 free. Samit Virmani’26 swam a great 100 IM with season’s best in a time of 1:05.8. Jackson’26 and Ava Bonsignore’26 both improved their IM times from the first meet and Molly Palmer’27 swam the 100 IM at KO for the first time. Norah’26 came in 3rd in the 50 breastroke and Lila Wedeles’26 and Aaron Anstead’28 improved their times in the 50 breast from the last meet. Finn Richter’26 and Ella Cipriano’28 swam the 50 breast for KO for the first time. In the 100 free, Ava Bonsignore’26 and Jackson’26 came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Sam Lewis’26 swam the 100 free for the first time. Abbie’26 swam a great 50 back coming in 1st. The swimmers that improved their 50 back times from last meet included Jane Morris’26, Anya Dausey’28, Logan Michalak’27, Annie O’Connor’27, Maddy Patten’28, Aliza Rashid’27, and Aayan Anwar’27.  In the 50 butterfly, Samit’26 and Brigette Russell’26 came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Shoutout to Isa Rashid’27 for swimming in his first relay! The swimmers are looking forward to their next meet again Hamden Hall on February 9th!
