MS Tennis

KO middle school players competed exceptionally hard and were in the thick of it until the very end. With the match score 3-4, we needed to capture the final three matches to score a victory. Number three singles, Aashir Mathur outlasted his opponent in a tough tiebreaker and came up with a win that evened the score at four apiece. The number three doubles pairing of Beckett Santropietro and Evan Moray, in only their second match, changed their strategy and came from behind with an excellent 8-6 win. Anay Sahu and Lea Richter fell a little short at number two doubles and the Foote School came away with the win. Other outstanding play were wins at number two singles Noah Sadowsky who has showed great improvement in his footwork and ability to win points at the net. Rounding out our singles line up and in his first singles match ever, Hayan Saleem came away with a tight 8-6 victory that helped keep KO in its early quest for the win.
