V Football

It was a great victory for the Wyverns on the Hoffman Turf Field on a gorgeous fall afternoon.  

Much like many games we have played this year it was close throughout with the two teams alternating scoring the whole day. The Offensive Line of Jaedan Curcio ’23, Evan Tyler ’25, Julian Przecioska ’25, Will Keegan ’25 and Chief Ebana ’24 were tremendous all day paving the way for 197 yards on the ground and excellent in pass protection.  The scoring was started by Nathan Bowes ’24 who took a QB sweep play left and cut it back across the entire defense outrunning them all for a 63 yard TD score. Next Bowes ’24 hit Chase Fountain ’23 for a 7 yard TD score on a 4th and goal to extend the lead.  The last two scores were all offensive line with the assistance of Jacob Amburn ’23 and Geordan Roberston ’23, with tremendous blocks, running QB sneak for 2 TDs. The QB was untouched on both plays! Defensively, Sanford Cloud ’25 led the way with 8 tackles. Jacob Amburn ’23 and Chief Ebana ’24 were tremendous on the D line accounting for multiple tackles for a loss, sacks and 5 QB hits.  Overall the day was bend but not break defensively. Albany was able to move the ball into the redzone 6 times but only came away with 3 scores.  With the lead 26-22 late in the 4th quarter, the defense came up with 2 consecutive red zone stops to end the game.  Now back to 3-3 on the year the Wyverns will travel to Monson, Mass to take on Wilbraham Monson Academy on Saturday 11/5 for a 2:30pm kickoff.
