Volleyball – Girls JV vs Kent School – Away

KO JV Volleyball played one of its most exciting matches against Kent last Friday 10/18. The entire match was a battle that could have gone to either team, but unfortunately KO had a few untimely errors at critical moments that gave Kent the win. The nail-biter first game went back and forth numerous times at the end, leading to a final score of 31-29 Kent and KO game back from being down 5 points at the end of game 2 to come within 2 points of Kent 24-26. KO continued to be a force on the service line in this match, with aces coming from Lei Gonzalez ‘27, Lidia Martinez-Casto ‘27, Aliza Rashid ‘27, and Aniajah Sanchez ‘28. KO had some great defensive saves from Layla Hall ‘27 and Rachael Segal ‘28 and blocks from Madison Brillant ‘28 and Sanchez. The team is looking forward to a rematch against Suffield Academy this coming Wednesday at home in Hewett Gym.
