Loss 1-3

KO fell to a strong Loomis team on Wednsday 1-3 (14-25, 15-25, 25-22, 9-25). Returing a powerful serving was challenging as KO stuggled to set up its offense in the forst two sets.. The third one was exciting, with KO fighting back hard to get ahead and then to take the set. Of particular note were Genesis Frimpong ’27 who had a few solid blocks in the middle, Selma Knutson ’27 who scored the set point with an effective middle tip, and Dephine Lamattina ’27 who served 6 straight points , helping KO come from an 8-12 deificit to take the lead 15-12. This changed the energy and momentum of the set. Unfortunately, serve reception was a challenge in the final set, and KO struggled on the service line.
