Varsity Volleyball

Girls’ Varsity Volleyball beat Westover on Monday 3 sets to; the set scores were 20-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-11.

The girls started out a bit slow in the first set; serving was not as strong as usual and the offense had a tough time getting going. After losing the first set, KO had to regroup in the second. Serving, led by Bella Leuschner ‘20 and co-captain Sydney Smith ‘21,  improved considerably, as did passing and serve receive. As is typically the case, Smith led the offense with powerful attacks and numerous kills. In the third set, Trinity Hudson ‘20 added points from the service line and in the final set, it was Mackenize Caruso ‘22, who earned 7 points off her well-placed serves. What was most impressive about this win was that, once again, each varsity player contributed to the team’s success. KOVVB’s record is now 6-2.  The team will next travel to Pomfret on Saturday.
