Volleyball – Girls Varsity vs Worcester Academy – Away
Win 3-0
The KO Varsity Volleyball team headed to Worcester Academy to put on a show-stopping performance that got them another decisive win on the road. The Wyverns played confidently and consistently from the very beginning to take the game in 3 sets. The first set started off with an early 11-point service run from co-captain Allie Arcaro ‘24 that catapulted the team into the lead. Arcaro’s serves were followed by incisive attacks from co-captains Jillian Alexander ‘24 (on the right side) and Ava Cashman ‘24 (on the outside). The Wyverns’ momentum was unstoppable, and with key defensive play from Cici Freeman ‘24 and redirections at the net from Lola Peck ‘26 in the middle, they dealt with a resurgence from Worcester and won the set 25-14. The second set saw Lila Klinzmann ‘27 igniting the offense with her quick sets to Chloe Delaire ‘27 in the middle, who powerfully put the ball away near the sidelines. The service runs kept coming, as well, for Francesca Lamattina ‘25 and Cashman, both of whom were rocketing the ball low over the net. Olivia Doran ‘26 took offensive advantage at the net on the outside, tipping carefully and always covering the block. Worcester fought back in the middle of the set, but the Wyverns held on and won it 25-17. In the third set, the Wyverns kept their strong footing, and clever attacking choices by Alexander on the right side coupled with relentless court coverage from Alex Segal ‘25 helped the team pull through to win 25-12.
