A Great Showing for the Forensic Union Team

On Sunday, May 2, Kingswood Oxford’s Forensic Union club sent two teams to the final debate competition of the school year, hosted on Zoom by Deerfield Academy. KO’s advanced team was composed of Braden Flowers ‘21, Chaitanya Karanam ‘21, and Braeden Rose ‘21, as well as junior Teddy Schwartz ‘22. On the novice team were sophomores Frank Pu ‘23, Manu Narasimhan ‘23, and Jaedan Curcio ‘23, as well as freshman Bassil Chughtai ‘24. For the seniors, this would be their final debate for KO.

All of the pairs had a great showing; Narasimhan and Curcio won all three of their debates and placed as the third novice pair in a tournament of 24 total pairs. Coach Michelle Caswell said, “This is a huge accomplishment, and coach Wayne and I are extremely proud of them. What a great way to end their year.”
