Banning Places in World Golf Event

Recently, Cole Banning ’24 competed with his Torrington Country Club golf team at the National PGA Jr. League All-Star Team Championships, held at the Edison Club in Rexford, New York. The team won the local championship and advanced to the finals, held at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, Connecticut. On the first day of the finals, stroke play, Banning and his partner scored an accomplished 64. On the final day, match play, Banning and his team secured seven out of nine flags and came away with the 17U Championship. This summer, for the fifth time, he qualified for the US Kids World Championships, held in Pinehurst, North Carolina. In August, Banning competed against 144 of the best teen golfers from around the world. In the renowned three-day Teen World Championship Tournament, he tied for 11th place. Congratulations Cole!
