Colin Ruiz ’21

When asked about Colin Ruiz, coach Hikmet Aslan referenced his own childhood play.

“When I was playing soccer, my idol was Pele who quoted: ‘Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.'”

“Ruiz is seeing his hard work all spring and summer paying back. Keep working hard, learn and study as much as you can, and love what you do. He will continue to see this hard work rewarded.”

Ruiz said, “I am honored to be selected as Wyvern of the Week. I am excited about our team this season. We have a group of players that care about the team a lot and will give all their effort for the team win. I think my main goal is to continue to work hard and make playoffs eventually.”
