Honors Conferred to KO Students on National Latin Exam

Bene factum! For those non-Latin speakers, well done! Our Wyverns performed exceptionally well on the National Latin exam, a forty-question, multiple-choice test with a time limit of forty-five minutes. The test is offered on seven levels and covers the students’ general knowledge of Latin vocabulary and grammar, reading comprehension, and Roman and Greek culture (mythology and history). Depending on the level taken, questions can range from “Who was the Roman god of war and the father of Romulus and Remus?” to naming a figure of speech in a line from Ennius: “Spernitur orator bonus, horridus miles amateur.” It is taken on both the national and international levels.
