KO Student Signs to Play College Football at Assumption

Surrounded by family, teammates, and coaches, Kingswood Oxford senior Justin Morle took the next step in his football journey, officially signing his commitment to play Division II football at Assumption College.

For Morle, the decision came down to more than just athletics; it was about connection.

“I’d say the process was slower than I expected, but I feel like I landed in the right spot,” he shared. “The coaching staff really stood out. They were consistent, checking in after games, and when I visited, it just felt like a family, a lot like KO.” That sense of belonging ultimately sealed his commitment. After an overnight visit where he met future teammates, Morle knew Assumption was the right fit.

On the field, Morle leaves Kingswood Oxford with a strong list of accomplishments and memories, including a standout senior season with an 8-2 record. Additionally, he was one of three team captains. Among the highlights: a hard-fought victory over Canterbury. “Beating Canterbury this year was pretty sweet,” he said. “They’re aggressive, and it’s always a different kind of game. It felt good.”

Off the field, Morle credits KO with preparing him for success at the next level—both academically and athletically.“Time management and challenging myself in the classroom really helped,” he explained. “And athletically, the preparation, practices, game planning, it’s as close to a college process as you can get. I feel like that will put me ahead.”

As he addressed the room during his signing, Morle reflected on the journey that brought him to this moment, one rooted in years of dedication, sacrifice, and support. “A lot of kids don’t get the opportunity to play college football,” he said. “I’ve been given that chance, and I’m grateful. I’ve been playing since I was five years old—never taken a year off. It’s been a process.”

He went on to thank those who helped him along the way – his parents for their unwavering commitment, his siblings, teammates he calls “brothers,” and the coaches who believed in him.

“It’s not done. The journey’s not done,” Morle added. “But we’ve done so much already.”

With his signing, Morle joins a growing list of Wyverns continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level—bringing with him not only talent, but the discipline, resilience, and sense of community that define the KO experience.
