Swanson Close to Setting College Field Hockey Record
Wyvern Tori Swanson β21, who plays field hockey for Endicott, is on track to break the school’s record for goals this weekend, September 13th, if she continues at her usual pace.
Swanson was co-captain of the field hockey team in 2021 with Ciara Chagnon β21 and Keegan McMahon β21.Β She has played hockey for well over ten years. Initially, she started figure skating when she was much younger, but found the fast pace of hockey more exhilarating. Her older siblings played hockey, so she was accustomed to the energy and power of the sport.

In 2020, Swanson β21 and fellow Wyvern Abby McLaughlin β22 headed to Denver, CO, to play in the USA Hockey 19U Girls Tier II National Championship with their CT Northern Lights U19 Silver team, competing in a pool of 48 teams from around the country over five days. They also competed in 2019 with their 16U team in Buffalo. That year, they advanced to the quarterfinals and finished as the seventh-ranked team in the country. Swanson said, at the time, βItβs such an unreal experience even if you donβt win. To be with the best of the best and play against them is an amazing feeling.βΒ
