The main way that KO supports our family is that no matter which child I’m speaking of, my oldest, who’s quiet, or my youngest, who’s exactly the opposite, they’ve always been able to find a home here. The faculty and staff have always been supportive no matter what their ideas are, no matter their strengths and weaknesses. Each child is appreciated for who they are. They are given support when they need it and are held to task when they need it, too. It’s not just a place to go to school. You can find your way of being. The people here are more than happy to go the extra mile every time to help you become that person you always thought you could be.

I think the advising system here at KO is one of the most important aspects of the whole system. They are the first line of communication. Any issues we’ve ever had, we’ve always been able to reach out to our child’s advisor and get our questions answered. It doesn’t matter if it’s academic, social, sports, or extracurriculars. Even if they don’t have the answer right off the bat, you know you have someone you can reach out to that can find an answer for you. It’s been wonderful to know you have someone in your corner. There’s someone there that’s going to advocate for you and, most importantly, advocate for your child.
