Shield & Dragon Executive Committee
The Shield & Dragon group is a team of energetic go-getters and our student ambassadors who conduct tours at KO. When you visit, you will have the pleasure of meeting one or more of these inspiring young women and men who have an in-depth knowledge of the school and love sharing their experiences at KO. This group shown below is our Shield & Dragon Executive Committee team, which leads the charge and is actively involved in various clubs, activities, sports, and initiatives on campus. Bio
Hannah has been attending KO since ninth grade. Since her freshman year, she has been actively involved in the Esports, Theater Tech, and the winning softball program at KO. She is looking forward to being a captain for the Esports team and a stage manager for this year’s musical! Hannah is also a co-president of KO’s American Cancer Society chapter, a peer tutor, and a member of Power of Women. This summer, Hannah volunteered at Camp KO and spent time visiting family in Minnesota. Outside of school, Hannah enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her cat, Nara. Her favorite part of KO is the wonderful community that has been so welcoming and uplifting during her time here.Â
Bio
Pratt has attended KO since the seventh grade. During his time at KO, he has been an active player on the soccer and tennis teams, taking a leadership role as captain of both. Additionally, Pratt will be trying out for the basketball team to conclude his senior year. Besides being an Executive Committee member of Shield and Dragon, Pratt is the president of The Investment Club and a peer writing tutor for younger students. Outside of school, Pratt works at both Glastonbury and East Hartford Tennis Club, teaching the younger generation of tennis players the fundamentals of the game. In his free time, Pratt enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading books, or playing golf or pickleball with friends. Looking ahead, Pratt is excited for a new year with the addition of the Community Commons building, as well as participating in sports during all three seasons.
Bio
Ava has attended KO since seventh grade. She is a member of the varsity cross country, swimming, and track teams. On campus, Ava is involved in Power of Women, serves as a delegate for the Yale Model United Nations conference, and is a cofounder of the Women in STEM Club. She is also a tour guide for Shield & Dragon and is excited for her role as an executive board member this coming year. Off campus, Ava enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time with her friends & family. This summer, she was a lifeguard at the Farmington Field Club and attended a biotechnology program at Clemson University.
Bio
Juliana has attended KO since the ninth grade. Throughout her time at KO, Juliana has performed in the Choreographer Showcase and winter musical, acting as a dance captain since her freshman year. She is also a co-editor-in-chief of the KO News, a lawyer on the Mock Trial team, a member of the American Cancer Society, and a part of Power of Women. Outside of school, Juliana dances five days a week and also helps out with two classes of young dancers at her dance studio. She loves reading, baking, hanging out with friends, and playing with her goldendoodle, Fiona. This summer, Juliana worked at a cookie and ice cream shop and took a course about justice reform and political participation at American University.
Bio
Jordan has been at Kingswood Oxford since he was in sixth grade. In his time at KO, he has played on the varsity football and golf teams. Outside of athletics, Jordan has been an active member of the Jewish Student Union, and he has also dedicated a significant amount of time to challenging himself academically, taking on a rigorous and demanding schedule. Jordan is also the editor-in-chief of the KO News and can’t wait to produce more issues this year. Outside of school, Jordan is actively involved in his community, serving on the teen leadership board of Friendship Circle and participating in training programs through the ADL. This summer, Jordan worked at Camp Equinunk, a seven-week sleepaway camp, where he served as a counselor for 11-and 12-year-olds.Â
Bio
Tadhg has been a KO student since sixth grade. He is an executive member of Shield and Dragon and has been a part of the organization since his sophomore year. Tadhg is a subcommittee leader for the Investment Club and helped co-found the Engineering Club last year. Currently, Tadhg plays varsity soccer in the fall and varsity track and field in the spring. Throughout his time at KO, he has played a number of sports, including basketball, football, baseball, and lacrosse. Tadhg likes to spend his time hanging out with his friends and family. This summer, Tadhg is working as a receiving associate for a construction manufacturing company. He is looking forward to making memories while on vacation and playing sports.Â
Bio
Adam Gold has been a Wyvern since sixth grade. He is excited to be a part of the Shield and Dragon ambassador program since my sophomore year. He is looking forward to serving on the Executive Board for this coming school year. Adam is a participating member of the Jewish Student Union at KO, as well as the Business Club, Fishing Club, and First Take (sports debate) club. Athletically, Adam is on the varsity baseball team and is proud to have taken home a victory in last year’s championship. Adam has also participated in a plethora of other sports offered at KO: football, basketball, squash, and strength/conditioning. Outside of school, Adam enjoys playing golf or skiing with friends and honing his baseball skills in his free time. This summer, Adam worked as a camp counselor.
Bio
Leo has been at KO since the eighth grade. He has been deeply involved in the performing arts department, participating in the Choreographer Showcase, fall play, and winter musical. He also participates in KO’s American Cancer Society chapter and was the president of the Dungeons and Dragons club. Leo has been a member of Shield and Dragon for two years. Outside of school, Leo is an Eagle Scout and has been part of the scouting institution for over 10 years. He loves the outdoors and hiking, poetry, science, and his dog, named Cora. This summer, Leo volunteered at St. Francis Hospital during the week and traveled to New Mexico on a week-long hiking trip!Â
Bio
Charlie has attended KO since sixth grade. He is a member of the varsity soccer team and a manager for the varsity ice hockey team. Charlie is also the founder of KO’s Marine Biology Club, the co-head of the Chess Club, and a member of KO’s No Place for Hate committee. Outside of school, Charlie enjoys reading, being with his two brothers, and playing with his dog. This summer, Charlie was a counselor at a sleep-away camp that he has been involved with for nine years. His favorite part of the KO community is the welcoming atmosphere and the extra help and attentiveness of the teachers here.Â
Bio
Leilani has been a part of the Kingswood Oxford community since sixth grade. Throughout her time at KO, she has been actively involved in a variety of activities. She serves as a tutor for Wyverns Helping Wyverns, an associate editor for the news and features sections of the KO News, and a junior editor for “epic”, KO’s literary magazine. She is also a student leader of HOLAS (Hispanic Organization of Latin American Students), a student ambassador and executive committee member of Shield and Dragon, and one of the founding chapter leaders of Active Minds at KO, KO’s mental health awareness club. Outside of KO, Leilani is passionate about travel, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. She is also committed to community involvement and is a member of a girls’ mental health leadership cohort with LiveGirl Inc., a nonprofit based in Fairfield County. This summer, she balanced two jobs—one as a retail sales associate and the other as a hostess at a local Mexican restaurant in West Hartford—while also making time to relax and travel to Colombia and Puerto Rico with loved ones.

Teague has attended Kingswood Oxford since ninth grade. Teague is very involved in KO’s performing arts community and has performed in the winter musical since his freshman year. For the past three years, he has also been in the Choreographer Showcase and the fall play! Outside of the theater, Teague is the Co-President of KO’s American Cancer Society Chapter and volunteers at Midstate Hospital on the weekends. This summer, Teague worked on the logistics team at Camp KO and spent some time in Maryland. Some of Teague’s hobbies outside of school are reading, gardening, and spending time with his family. Teague’s favorite part about the KO community is how supportive and kind everyone is, which has allowed him to step out of his comfort zone and try new things during the past three years.
