Kingswood Oxford tennis boasts four state-of-the-art indoor courts and three outdoor courts, providing year-round opportunities for training and competition. The varsity boys’ team has long been a powerhouse in the highly regarded Founders League, consistently ranking among the top programs in New England.
Each spring, the Wyverns host the annual KITT Tennis Tournament in April and compete in the prestigious Southern New England Championships in May. Since 1999, the program has made eleven NEPSAC postseason appearances—including seven consecutive trips from 2012 to 2018—which culminated in a NEPSAC championship title in 2016.
The girls’ tennis program fosters a culture of excellence, athleticism, and sportsmanship, where players sharpen their skills through focused conditioning, on-court drills, and competitive interscholastic matches. Throughout the season, athletes develop a versatile repertoire of shots while gaining valuable match experience against some of the strongest prep school programs in New England and within the Founders League.
Regular-season competition consistently prepares the team for NEPSAC Class B postseason play. Since 2013, Wyvern girls’ tennis has been a perennial contender, reaching the finals in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2025, and capturing NEPSAC Class B championships in 2014, 2016, and most recently in 2024.
