Baseball – Boys MS A vs Rectory School – Home

MS A Baseball

The KO MS A baseball team lost to Rectory 8-1.

Against a much older opponent, KO put up a real fight against Rectory. Despite the 8-1 score, this was one of the Wyverns’ best games of the year, both on the field and on the mound. Mac Louis ’23 and Jack Gold ’23 both had superb pitching outings. Mac threw three innings, struck out five, and did not walk a batter. Jack came in to relieve Mac and gave up only 3 earned runs over four innings. Both pitchers threw strikes all game, and helped to keep a potent lineup at bay. They were also aided by some smart defense behind them. At the plate, KO was no-hit through six innings, until Mac Louis broke it up with an infield single in the team’s last at-bat. This led to a quick rally and a run scored by Ben Stengel ’23 on a walk by Cooper Tantraporn ’25. KO should be proud of its performance as it looks to a quick turnaround against Har-Bur on Thursday.
