KO jumped out to 2-0 lead in the first inning after Dom Trolio singled Nate Bowes hit a 2 run homerun. John Kumpa drove in a run in the 3rd inning to increase the lead to 3-0. Avon scored 2 runs in the 5th inning to get within one run, but the Wyverns answered back in the bottom of the 5th scoring 3 runs to make the score 6-2. Sean Habeeb singled and Trolio and Adam Merritt both doubled. Merritt pitched 5.1 innings to earn the win and Adam Gold went 1..2 innings in relief for the save.
