Baseball – Boys Varsity vs Choate Rosemary Hall – Away

The Kingswood Oxford varsity baseball team traveled to Choate on Friday afternoon for another Founders League matchup.

Sean Habeeb started on the mound for the Wyverns, while former Wyvern, and current post grad, Landon White started for Choate. It was a back and forth matchup with Choate taking the early lead on a first inning homerun. The Wyverns took the lead in the top half of the second with a two run triple by Dylan Diaz, driving home John Kumpa and Dom Trolio. After Choate tied the game in the bottom of the second, the Wyverns retook the lead in the third, on an RBI single by John Kumpa to knock in Devin Wolff. Choate tied the game in the fourth, and took a 4-3 lead in the sixth. Dylan Diaz lead off the seventh inning with a single, and later scored on a game tying double by Christian Pedro. The Wyverns scored in the top of the eighth of extra innings after John Kumpa singled to lead off, and later scored on a passed ball. Pitcher, Devin Wolff earned the save, striking out two in the bottom of the eighth.
