Varsity Baseball

Varsity baseball lost a tightly contested game to Lommis 6-5.

The Wyverns opened the scoring in the 2nd inning when Jack Marshall ’20 singled to drive in Jack Johnson ’19. The scored stayed 1-0 until the 4th when Loomis loaded the bases with two outs and then hit a grand slam to take a 4-1 lead. KO came back with a run in the 5th to make it 4-2. Jimmy DiVirgilio ’18 and Tim Cotter ’20 singled and DiVirgilio scored on a hit by Jake Rowland ’18. In  the 6th Noah Gibson ’18 singled and was driven in by DiVirgilio. Mark Place ’18 hit a 2-run homer to put KO up 5-4. Loomis tied the score 5-5 in the bottom of the 6th, and then scored the winning run with two out in the bottom of the 7th.
