The Wyverns traveled to Taft and came away with a 8-5 victory. KO scored 1 run in the top of the first inning when Boden Swanson doubled home Dom Trolio. Taft scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st to lead 2-1. Nate Bowes put the Wyverns back in front 3-2 with a 2 run double in the 2nd inning. Taft tied the score in the 3rd inning with a bases loaded walk. The score stayed 3-3 until the 6th inning when KO scored 3 runs to lead 6-3. Taft made it 6-4 with a run in the bottom of the inning. KO got 2 important insurance runs in the 7th inning. Boden Swanson singled and John Kumpa doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. One run scored on a wild pitch and another scored when Hunter Anastasio doubled. Taft loaded the bases with 0 outs in the bottom of the 7th. Luke Polley came in to pitch and got out of the jam only allowing 1 run to score on a sac fly.
