Dear Kingswood Oxford Parents and Fans,

What an electrifying and closely contested game we had last evening at our home turf, the Hewett Gymnasium, as our Kingswood Oxford team took on Avon Old Farms in an epic match. Despite an exceptional team effort, we narrowly fell to Avon Old Farms, with a final score of 65-66.

The match was packed with outstanding performances, notably from our players DJ Biggins, Odin Malz, and Sean Habeeb. Biggins led the team, demonstrating remarkable skill on both ends of the floor with a massive 23 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Malz continued his streak of strong performances with an impressive stat line of eight points and 13 rebounds. Habeeb also played a solid game, contributing six points, three rebounds, and a steal.

Our team showed notable strength in rebounding, decisively winning the war on the glass 44 to 28. Of these rebounds, 20 were on the offensive end, dramatically eclipsing AOF’s five. These impressive statistics indicate our team’s tenacity and hard work on the boards, highlighting our ability to control the tempo and gain extra possessions.

Even though the result was not in our favor, our boys fought with relentless spirit and displayed an undying passion for the game. Each loss brings an opportunity for improvement and growth. We believe our team will learn and come back stronger, bringing the lessons from this match into the future games.
