Basketball – Girls JV vs Choate Rosemary Hall – Home
JV Girls Basketball
Down 11-4 mid-way through the first quarter, KO went on to score ten points to Choate’s one by the end of the quarter and never looked back.
Leading by just two points at halftime, the Wyverns were able to put together tough defensive stands on one end of the court with timely shooting and offensive rebounding at the other end of the court to slowly but surely pull away from the Boars, outscoring Choate 12 – 4 in the third quarter and 10 – 6 in the fourth. Keegan McMahon, ’21 Keegan contributed 14 points while Caroline Dawson, ’22 added 18 in the winning effort. With just six healthy players for the second game in a row, the Wyverns played some of their best basketball of the season with effective team play at both ends of the court. Freshman Ellen Jacobson, ’23 had one of her better games as she blocked shots, batted away passes, and otherwise often disrupted Choate’s efforts to score.
