MS A Girls Basketball

The KO MS A basketball team beat Foote 40-15.

This was another very impressive win for KO.  Jumping out to an early lead helped the Wyverns control the game, and the team made sure it was never close. KO led 17-2 after the first quarter and 25-4 at the half. The key to this victory was shooting and defense, as everyone was willing to shoot from outside and a lot of shots went in, especially early in the game. As in every game this season, Georgia Louis ’24 led the team in scoring, this time with 17 points. She also pulled down some big rebounds over taller opponents. Lia Arnold ’25 was also fierce on the boards with 7 rebounds, and she ended up with 8 points. Jillian Alexander ’24 scored a season high for her, putting 6 points on the board. KO played aggressively all game and made it tough for Foote to move the ball. This tenacity also led to a lot of steals and fast break opportunities, which is where the team got a lot of its points. The team should be proud of playing with confidence and with heart. They look to do the same next Wednesday at Har-Bur.
