MS B Girls Basketball

In our second game against Ethel Walker School, we faced a larger and more experienced team. While the score was not what we hoped for and worked towards in practice, we learned that as a team we do not give up when faced with adversity, we play with our hearts and determination, and we support each other on and off the court. What a wonderful thing; we are proud to coach this team of determined athletes! Jamie Touch ‘30 and Charlotte Needham ‘29 each scored two points, while Caroline Sams ‘29 added a beautiful three pointer. Even though the score does not show it, our defense was tough and unrelenting. Assisted by Giselle Brighthaupt ‘29, Ella Ristiano ‘29, and Charlotte Needham ‘29, Lilly Evans led in the paint with numerous blocked shots and key rebounds. The guards added many turnovers to their resume completing our tenacious defense. I am looking forward to working hard in practice, trusting in our offensive plays, and preparing for our game next week against Hamden Hall. Way to go girls!
