B Girls Basketball

In the second game of the season, both coaches as well as the fans were impressed with the improvement seen in this young team since their first game. Passing was crisper, rebounding more aggressive, and the newly learned man-to-man defense effective. Facing a taller and older team, the B Team athletes did not give up! CC Conrad ‘32 refined her defense and was a powerful force, causing many turnovers and igniting her team! Dani Boland ‘32 and Angiel Finkell crashed the boards and came up with key rebounds. Violet Ahles ‘32 and Linnea Fizziano ‘32 entered the game with more ease, more skill, and more determination, and became more comfortable with the fast paced nature of the game. A basket each was scored by Nyla Webb ‘32, Addie Wenzel ‘32, Julia Balanda ‘32, and Casey Salzman ‘32. Angie Finkell ‘32 sunk one from the foul line to add a point to our total. While the score and the outcome of the game were not what we hoped, this team proved their mettle and showcased their improvement. We are looking forward to working hard in practice, trusting in our offensive plays, and preparing for our game next home game against Ethel Walker on Feb 1st. Way to go girls!
