Varsity Girls Basketball

The varsity girls basketball team took on the wildcats of Ethel Walker on Valentine’s day at home. Our wyverns took the win by a score of 54-51. Tenacious defense and aggressiveness on offense led our girls to the win. The game was tied at the half. Our players came out of halftime determined to win this game. It was close throughout the second half but we played together on both ends of the court. The wyverns put up sixteen points in the third quarter to go up by four and that proved to be enough to hold off the wildcats through the final quarter. It was a tremendous team effort with energy on the court and coming from the bench. The wyverns are looking forward to their final three games all at home.
