V Girls Basketball

The varsity girls basketball team took on the rams of Watkinson on an off day game at home and our wyverns came away with a 59-37 win. Our players set the tone early with their defensive pressure to jump out to a ten point lead at the end of the first quarter. We held the rams to fifteen total points in the first half. The rams played us even throughout the third quarter but we ramped up our defense again and held them to only seven points in the final quarter of play. As a team we hit 9 threes. Every player had time on the court and seven of those eleven players scored multiple points. It was a nice team effort and win to start off the last full week of January.
