Varsity Girls Basketball

The varsity girls basketball team hosted the Martlets of Westminster in a Friday night game. It was a close game throughout. At the end of the first quarter the game was tied at 13 then our wyverns went on a run in the second quarter to take a double digit lead but the martlets went on their own run and cut the lead to four at the half. The second half continued to be a closely fought battle. With under two minutes left the martlets took a two point lead but KO came back to go up by one with 41 seconds left on a three point shot. That shot was one of eight three pointers that the wyverns hit in the game. With 6 seconds on the clock KO closed out the win on two free throws. It was an exciting game and the effort of both teams is to be commended. The wyverns are looking forward to their final game at home against Canterbury school.
