Cross Country – Boys Varsity vs Marianapolis Preparatory School – Away
Varsity Boys Cross Country
On the afternoon of September 25, the Boys’ Cross Country team traveled to Marianapolis to compete in their annual invitational race.
The course was 5.0 kilometers in distance and 155 runners were in the race. The boys placed 6th out of 12 teams in the competition. The top 7 runners (by place and time) were: captain Ethan Pinkes ‘20 in 8th place, with a time of 19:01; Kevin Graziosi 22’ in 24th place, with a time of 20:16; Matthew Byzoyckyj ‘21 (finishing his first successful race) in 30th place, with a time of 20:33; Isaias Wooden 22’ in 47th place, with a time of 21:38; Sam Merkatz ‘22 in 54th place, with a time of 21:46; Sam Bromberg ‘23 in 56th place, with a time of 21:56; and Elan Stadelmann ‘20 in 67th place, with a time of 22:40.
Other runners for KO were: Will Burstein ‘20, Eli Johansen ‘22, Braden Rose ‘21, Jon Sohn ‘22, Marrich Somridhivej 22’, Nathan Brodrick ‘22 and Shumayl Sheik Syed ‘22.
We run next Saturday at Westminster for the Miller Invitational.
