Varsity Golf

The Varsity Golf team opened its season on Wednesday with a match at Fairview Farms against the host Gunnery and Loomis.

Missing two of their more experienced members, the team also battled gusty winds and an unfamiliar course.  Niko Rodriquez’20 led the squad with a solid 4 over par 40, followed by Ryan Peterson’19 (43), and Capt. Garth Swanson (45). Will Layden’20 (48) and Karstian Lang’20(50) rounded out the team score of 226, 16 behind Loomis (210) and and 20 back of winner Gunnery (206).  The team’s next match is Wednesday, April 17 against Founders foes Loomis, Westminster, and Kent.
