Ice Hockey – Varsity vs South Kent School – Away
Varsity Ice Hockey
The Ice Wyvern travels to south Kent this past Saturday to take on the Cardinals of the South Kent.
Keifer Jaffe ‘21 opened the scoring for KO early in the 1st period, beating the South Kent Goalie stick side on a pass from Garth Swanson ‘19. KO would go on to score again moments later when Garth Swanson ‘19 would field Karstian Lang ‘20 in front to go up 2-0. KO would score 2 more goals in the 1st period from Michael Autorino ‘19 and Kyle Frankel ‘21, both assisted by Karstian Lang ‘20, to give KO a 4-0 lead at the end of the 1st period. South Kent would get on the board quickly in the 2nd period, however KO would go on to score 4 unanswered goals in the period by Mitchell Autorino ‘21, Sean Gilland ‘22 , Karstian Lang ‘20 & Garth Swanson ‘19. KO allowed one goal in the 3rd period but would go on to win the game 8-2. Abby McLaughlin ‘22 played her first hockey game for KO and did a terrific job on the wing. John McLaughlin ‘20 and Gabby
Abramson ‘22 combined for the KO win in goal. KO takes on St Lukes this Friday at 3:30pm at the SoNo Ice House in Norwalk.
