Ice Hockey – Varsity vs St. Luke’s School – Away

Varsity Ice Hockey

Hard fought defensive battle fought by the Wyverns who would enter the game with 5 players missing from the roster due to illness or other activities. This gave other players opportunities to contribute to the effort. The only goals scored by either team were scored in the 2nd period when the KO Power play would once again benefit the team. Hayden Liddy ‘27 would find the mesh (Assisted by Ryan Munz ‘26 and Krish Patel ‘26) to give KO a 1-0 lead. St Lukes would counter just before the end of the 2nd period.

But KO Would knuckle down in the 3rd, not only with the St Luke’s offense , but questionable /egregious officiating. Assessed with a 7 minute penalty at the 7:09 mark, the KO PK and goalie Shane Smith would kill off the man advantage opportunity to send the game into overtime. The OT period would expire with the 1-1 tie in tact. KO Goalie Shane Smith was stellar in net saving 55 of 56 shots.
