JV Football

The JV Football Wyverns traveled to Wallingford, CT on a beautiful sunny fall day to take on the perennial powerhouse program of New England. 

The Wyverns hung in there, trading scores in the first half. The first TD of the day was Stephen Bailey ’25 rolling out left and hitting Joseph Kalinowksi ’25 in stride for a 27 yard TD score. Later in the 3rd quarter Bailey ’25 hit Kalinowski ’25 again for a 10 yard TD on a screen pass. Finally Bailey ’25 hit Christian Gingeleskie ’25 on a screen pass. Gingeleskie ’25 did the rest, making 4 defenders miss as he rumbled down the sideline for a score from 37 yards out to complete the scoring for KO. Corey Nguyen ’26 was perfect on PATs again this week! Defensively, Boden Swanson ’25 led the team in tackles with 10 and 1 TFL. Christian Gordon ’25 also has a fantastic game defensively from the free safety position making great plays and recording 6 tackles on the day. The JV football team will look to get into the win column next week when they travel to Wilbraham Monson Academy on 10/19 for a 3pm scheduled kickoff.
