The Wyvern linksters saved their best performance of the year for the end, finishing 8th of 23 teams at the 45th Kingswood Invitational Tournament.

Their fine team total of 409 also enabled them to finish 4th in the Founders League (with the KIT doing double duty after Saturday’s washout). In addition, the Wyverns finished ahead of six schools to whom they had lost in the regular season (including Founders League foes Loomis, Westminster and Kent). Led by Garth Swanson’19, who carded a solid 77, and Henry Krieble’21 ( a hard fought 79), the team’s KIT rookies James Amenta’19, Niko Rodriguez’20, and Jacob Balogh’20 demonstrated good team depth with scores of 85,84,84 respectively. With no Seniors on the squad and several other underclassmen gaining valuable experience at the Varsity level, there is cause for optimism. Valuable lessons about perseverance and patience were absorbed and implemented.
