In the season opener, the Wyverns of KO traveled east out to Pomfret Center, CT to face the Wolves of the Rectory School and came up with a huge victory to start the season. Despite facing some older players, the Wyverns stepped up to the challenge in every facet of the game. Paxton Tarantino ’30 dominated in the faceoff dot, Will Doering ’31 locked down their top midfielders at LSM, and Cam Barber ’31 stood strong during his first ever start at goalie with the support of close defenders Max Ricks ’31, Will Koster ’30, and Bennett Abraham ’30, who looked right at home in his first ever lacrosse game. Offensively, the Wyverns were able to spread the attack out across both the attack and midfield: the goal scorers were Tarantino (2), Will Murphy ’32 (2), Luke Calio ’32 (2), Harris Adams ’30 (1), Ben Towne (1), and even Doering (1) jumping into the offense at the LSM position. Overall, this victory has set the tone for the season as the Wyverns will clash with the Hilltoppers of Hopkins on April 8th!
