The Wyverns of Kingswood Oxford came out on a beautiful Friday afternoon to take on the Hawks of Renbrook in their first ever matchup on the Boys Lacrosse field. Early on, the Wyverns jumped on the inexperienced Hawks and never looked back. The scoring was lead by Form 2 stalwarts Reid Harrison ’28, Kyle O’Shaugnessy ’28, Briggs Leary ’28, and Erik Szyluk ’28, all ending the game with at least two goals. In the second half, the Wyverns were able to spread the ball around and received contributions from younger players like Paxton Tarantino ’30, Xander Gingeleskie ’30, and Bryce Schaller ’29. Tarantino battled at faceoff dot the entire game, allowing the Wyverns to dominate time of possession. Defensively, Teddy Ristaino ’28, Jace Brett ’28, Amir Waterman ’28, Jack Ryan ’29, and Will Koster ’30 did well to lock down any attacking zone time by Renbrook through solid communication and by working as a complete unit.
