Lacrosse – Girls Varsity vs Berkshire School – Away

Varsity Girls Lacrosse

The girls varsity lacrosse team traveled to Berkshire School for what is always a closely fought game.

After scoring the first goal, the Wyverns turned the ball over on several offensive possessions while trying to break down the Bears defense and unfortunately fell behind 9-3 at the half. After making some adjustments, the Wyverns defense caused several Bear turnovers as the Wyverns clawed their way back to within 1 goal at 13-14. Unfortunately, the Bears won the last draw and were able to run out the clock for the win. Julia Lantieri ’18 scored 5 goals and had 3 assists, Abby Eberle ’18 had 2 goals and 3 assists, Nicole Genga ’19 had 2 goals and 1 assist, Haley Carangelo ’18 had 2 goals, Maitlin Bailey ’18 scored 1 goal and 1 assist, and Mia Seymour ’19 scored 1 goal. Tori Swanson ’21 played well in her first start as an attack player, winning 3 draw controls on the circle. Amelia Levine ’20 made 9 saves in net.
