Varsity Girls Lacrosse

The girls varsity Lacrosse team defeated Hamden Hall today 19-12 on the first hot day of the spring season.

The Wyverns came out hot in the first half  winning there share of draws and/or causing turnovers in the defensive end and turned these into scoring opportunities as the they ran the score to 13-3 at half time. HH made some adjustments and took advantage of 3 consecutive Wyvern turnovers in the offensive end to bring the score back to 15-10, but the Wyverns re-stablished control and finished off the game. Julia Lantieri ’18 led the way with 6 goals bringing her total to 49 for the season, Abby Eberle ’18 and Haley Carangelo ’18 each had 3 goals and both added 3 assists, Maitland Bailey ’18 had 3 goals, Nicole Genga ’19 had 2 goals, Mia Seymour ’19 had 1 goal and 1 assist, and Kathryn Westrick ’20 had 1 goal. GK Amelia Levine ’20 made 7 saves in net. Defender Maggie Eberle ’20 had several full length runs from turnovers down the field into  the offensive end during clears.
