Varsity Girls Lacrosse

Girls Varsity Lacrosse team lost to Suffield Academy 17-13 on Saturday.

The final score does not indicate how close the game was throughout. After getting off to a slow start down 4-0, the Wyverns stormed back scoring the next 5 goals to take a lead. Suffield and KO traded goals for the rest of the half as the Wyverns went into the break with a 8-7 lead. Unfortunately, the Wyverns gave up the lead and were down by 1-3 goals for much of the second half. Late in the game Suffield went into a stall and the Wyverns needed to take chances to get the ball back which led to some easy goal opportunities, which Suffield took advantage of running up the score late.  Julia Lantieri ’18 led KO with 6 goals and an assist, Abby Eberle ’18 added 2 goals and 2 assists, Maitland Bailey’18 had 2 goals, Mia Seymour ’19, Haley Crangelo ’18, and Nicole Genga ’19 each added a goal. Amelia Levine ’20 had 6 saves in net.
