Varsity Girls Lacrosse

The girls varsity lacrosse team lost a close fought match with Taft on Monday 11-8.

The wyverns got off to a fast start taking a 5-1 lead early in the game and dominated possession. Taft girls fought back to bring the score to 6-5 at the half. In the second half, both teams traded goals and the score stayed 8-8 for a while. Unfortunately some errors late in the game were costly as Taft pulled ahead to win. Julia Lantieri ’18 scored 5 goals and had 3 assists, Nicole Genga ’19 had 2 goals, and Haley Carangelo ’18 had 1 goal. Midfielder Abby Eberle ’18 recorded 4 assists in the game. Amelia Levine ’20 did a solid job in net and recorded 10 saves in the game.
