Senior Day vs Hotchkiss School – Home

Varsity Boys Tennis

Ko hosted Hotchkiss on Senior Day, as we recognized our five seniors (Michael Autorino, Jack Gao, Andrew Holland, Luke Riemann, and Adam Sonntag).

Hotchkiss is both talented and deep, and it was simply too much for us to handle as we continue to battle some health issues. Hotchkiss played very well, so even at full strength it might have been too tall mountain to climb with the way that they played. The match of the day was, without a doubt, the #3 singles match between two talented freshman. It came down to a lengthy third set tiebreaker, with Max-William Kanz playing some terrific tennis and falling in a heartbreaker to Jerry Qiao 10-8 in the breaker. The bottom line is that both players played well enough to win on any day against most other opponents, and it was a shame someone had to lose, but that is sports. Next up is a match at Taft on Tuesday, 5/7.
