On senior day the girls varsity lacrosse team beat Suffield in overtime 10-9

It was an exciting game and a great win for the wyverns. Our girls played hard throughout the game. Though we lost our lead and saw Suffield tie the game with 4 seconds on the clock we headed into overtime playing a woman down, but our girls maintained their composure, fought hard and came away with the win on a goal by Kami Tarantino ’24 off a pass from Kaiya Deurloo ’22 with 1:20 left in the second OT period. Tarantino had 3 goals in the game, Deurloo had 2 goals and 2 assists. Alle Kotowitz ’23 and Abby McLaughlin ’22 added 2 goals and an assist each while Alyssa Pavano ’22 had 1 goal and 1 assist. Our transition game was solid as we moved the ball from our defense to our attack. Our defense as a group played a solid game and held off multiple player up situations that Suffield had. Chayse Shamleffer ’23 was phenomenal in goal with 18 saves. It was a tremendous team win for our girls.
