Soccer – Boys MS vs Eaglebrook School – Home
MS Boys Soccer
On a beautiful Saturday morning, the Middle School Boys A soccer team opened their season with a 3-1 victory at home against Eaglebrook.
Our matches vs. Eaglebrook are always close, hard fought contests and this game was no different. The first half saw some good back back and forth exchanges, and neither team was able to break through, with KO Goalkeeper Finn Boyd (Fm 2) keeping Eaglebrook off the scoreboard. Early in the 2nd half, KO finally got on the board with a terrific strike from midfielder Aayan Mapara (Fm 1) from the edge of the 18 yd box. Shortly after, newcomer Scotty Cloud (Fm1) put KO up 2-0 with Nico Bromley (Fm1) and newcomer JJ Hurley (Fm 2) assisting on the goal. Eaglebrook responded with a goal about 10 minutes later, cutting the lead in half. The next goal would be pivotal, and fortunately it went our way as Scotty Cloud tallied his 2nd goal of the game off assists from Finn Boyd and Nico Bromley. The game would finish 3-1, as KO’s 2nd half goalie Alex Levin (Fm 2) kept the ball out of the net the rest of the way. KO got strong defensive performances from three year player Cole Banning (Fm 2), Dom Trulio (Fm 1), and JJ Hurley (Fm 2). On the whole it was a great start to the season, and we hope to carry the momentum into our next match vs. Williston.
