Soccer – Boys MS vs St. Timothy’s School, Eaglebrook School – Home

On Saturday, Sept. 23rd the Boys MS A Soccer Team hosted St. Tim’s and Eaglebrook at the Wyvern Invitational Soccer Classic and came out victorious.
The KO boys played quite well and emerged with two solid wins, each by a score of 5-0.
Game 1 vs. St. Tim’s
KO opened the scoring with a goal by Henry Pelletier (Form 2), which was assisted by Max-William Kanz (Form 2). Shortly after, Max-William Kanz scored off an assist by Tyler Cavo (Form 2). After an own goal resulted in a 3-0 KO lead, KO capped the first half scoring with a fantastic goal by Alex Trenchard (Form 2). In the second half, KO maintained a shutout and added a fifth goal by Adam Cloud, Jr. (Form 1). KO’s goalies (Arthur Smith (fm2) and William Jacobs (Fm 1) combined to secure the shutout. KO’s defenders were solid, led by Carter Smith (Fm 2), James Beerbower (Fm2), David Shi (Fm 2) , and Cole Banning (UP).
Game 2 vs. Eaglebrook
Once again, Henry Pelletier (Fm 2) opened the scoring with a goal assisted by A.J. Leshem (Fm 2). A.J Leshem then followed this with the strike of the day, a 25 yd blast to the upper right corner. Matt Champagne (Fm 1) then made it 3-0 with his first goal of the season, off a nice assist from Jacob Joseph (Fm 1). David Shi (fm 2) followed this with a terrific free kick from 20 yds out that beat both the wall and the Eaglebrook keeper. KO capped the scoring with a breakaway goal from Alex Trenchard (Fm 2) off a feed from Henry Pelletier (Fm 2). Once again, the KO defense held firm, as goalkeeper William Jacobs notched a shutout with the rotation of defenders (Cole Banning, David Shi, James Beerbower, Carter Smith, Cooper Schumacher (Fm 1) , Teddy Crowther (Fm 2) holding Eaglebrook in check.
