Soccer – Boys MS vs Williston Northampton School – Home

On a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, the boys MS soccer team opened its season with a home match vs. Williston. KO opened the game with strong play and consistent pressure on the Williston defense, and it ultimately paid dividends when Jeremiah Moyano (Form 1) was fouled inside the box, resulting in a PK. He calmly buried the shot, putting KO up 1-0.Within 15 minutes, KO extended the lead to 3-0, and after Williston responded with a PK of their own to cut it to 3-1, KO scored a 4th goal prior to halftime. The 2nd half saw a barrage of goals, as KO scored 5 times and Williston scored 3 times. When it was all said and done, Jake Schwartz (Form 1) and Connor Morris (Form2) scored 3 times each, Jeremiah Moyano finished with 2 goals, and Zach Daigle (Form 1) scored as well. Central defender Aaron Anstead (Form2) and midfielder Anay Sayu (Form1) played quite well, and keepers Jackson Ramsey (Form 2) and Brendan Sills (UP) were solid in goal. It was great to see many new players enjoy their first KO game experience, and the team as a whole had a great day. Our next match is a week from today vs. Covenant Christian.
